The 3hundred sixty degrees of ME

I celebrated my 28th birthday recently… rather low key i’d say… and i like it that way… just a small makan2 with my family at home… but during the makan2 it seems that the latest ‘addition’ to family was having a swell of a time …

my baby… she was ‘moving’ actively during the makan2… restless i’d say… talking bout enjoying the occasion…hehehe…

i’m gonna be a father soon… baby have another 14 weeks to go before she will see the world… so what baby can expect in the future…??? here goes…

1) countless times walking and thumbling on VI green accompanying papa for for his numerous Ceria 95 footie and rugby meets… and bbqs

2) meet ‘colourful characters’ VI uncles and their wives…

3) meet ADP uncles and aunties… for their TT session… and raya open houses… papa’s weird and colourful friends they are…

4) accompanying papa servicing his crap corolla on his own… he’s still waiting for the right time to buy his bug-eyed Celica GT4… and maybe sometimes with Atuk KJ working on his UDM fleet…

5) live with the notion that Wan’s dsara kampung make the best tauhu… go Bentong go…

6) Nenek KJ hometown have the freshest seafoods… les sekinchan is the place…

7) Damansara is actually a republic… hehehe…

Liverpool FC is the only football club that matters… Talking bout Chelsea is considered blasphemy… Hahaha…

9) Papa works in Putrajaya… But not for long… Wait till he finish his degree papa said…

10) Walk Johnny the Cat with Tok Dsara…

p/s… mama got her own list… even more extensive….

After each prayers I held my hand up and ask for forgiveness from Allah SWT. I also ask for the safebeing of my wife, my parents, my sisters, all Muslims and for myself… And also for rezeki… So that i have enough of anything to keep on going in everything… "Murahkan dan berkati lah rezeki bg hamba mu ini…."

Lastly I’m working at Marconi
(M) Sdn Bhd in three positions, firstly as Material Planning Officer.
Than as a Technical Support/Testing Officer and now as Senior
Purchasing Officer.

Demetrio Albertini Retires…

This is one player i truely admire…. Liked the way he plays for the great AC Milan sides of the 90’s together with the likes of Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Donadoni and Baresi… Even though I’m an Inter fan, I can’t hide my adoration for Albertini… Devastatingly effective playing central midfield with his brand of superb passings and hard tackle… he won 5 Scudettos, 1 Champions League, 3 Italian Supercups, 1 European Supercup and played in 2 World Cups…

I was studying for my coming exam when I caught ‘R&B Selector’ on Traxx FM last night… It’s a radio show dedicated to all R&B and Soulz related music ranging from the 60’s right up the the 90’s…   It was my first time listening to it and I’m telling u right now… I’m glad I did….

Slowly but surely the music they play on the show brought me back memories of yesteryears…. particuarly the mid 90’s… to be more precise… the show transported me back to  Nov 95 till August 96 in the last decade… It was the time when the ONLY place to be nocturnally is the legendary BOOM BOOM ROOM... The time when the appropriate attire all night long was an Armani collored tee with Union Bay or Cerruti pants (worked at Cerruti… go figure)…
The time when we’ll be having breakfast after the sweat session at Bangsar till the Subuh call for prayer (azan) sounded….
Hahahah…. zaman jahanam time….

Back then I listened to lotsa kind of music… Almost everything… To the extent that Azan (the person… a good fren ) and I had to coin the term ‘UNIVERSALIST’ to potray our diverse musical inclination… Be it metal (Sepultura, Godflesh, Napalm Death etc)…the British Indie movement(Ride, Suede, Adorable etc)… the local scene music (Carburetor Dung, Langsuir, Sil-Khannaz (godz) etc )… I listened to it all… But when it comes to the endless sleepless night (we slept during the day…hooray) it was R&B surely for most of us… It was Mark Morrison, the Fugees, Nas and the ‘hustler’ of them all… KEITH SWEAT…. Black music… Soul music…

Now back to the R&B Selector… It was blasting out yesteryears R&B favourite from Marvin Gaye, Groove Theory, New Edition and so forth when suddenly… out of oblivion… after a long hiatus… out came Johnny Gill’s My My My song…. Now people… please take note… This song is special… It is a fine example of R&B at its best… Back in the 90’s listening to this song make everybody wanted to be a ‘playaz’… Everybody wanted to have girlfriends… Everybody wanted to buys nice stuffs for the girl… To listen to it on the radio last night was really a pleasant experience.

Kudos to Thraxx FM..

As for the flashbacks… Kudos to all who made the experience worthwhile… Namely…  KYPM Cheras clan, the Dsara clan, to all the chicks, the one from Hartamas, the table spinners at the Boom2 joint, my beloved kak long Nina (hardcore party-goer) and also the "kakak-kakak lain" all under the same roof there in the Room.

By the way, R&B Selector is on Monday nights, 8pm till late, on Traxx
