I got to see D E W A play this week… It was massive… So many people crammed into the small lawn just below Menara KL… Actually the organiser could have done better with the venue… There was a catwalk stage in front of the main stage creating uneven floors… Those fans whom managed to get on top of this stage blocked those behind from having a clearer view of the main stage… And we can do without those fanatical mat indons with flags on top of it… Kacao tul…. Luckily they got huge screens erected on both sides of the stage…

Met some familiar faces before the gig starts…

As for  D E W A… Wow!!!! They were superb… It’s nice to finally listen to them live… Their songs are so properly arranged that u can’t help feeling jealous of their musical talents…  I did…. Man were they awesome… 

The gig was a massive sing-a-long concert as most fans seems to memorise all their songs…. thus drowning ONCE’s voice sometimes… luckily the sound system was decent enough for us to hear the instruments… And not to be forgotten… The sing-a-long fans even memorise the lead guitarist’s solos….

And yes… Meet up with Shidee and wifey while going thru the crowd looking for better spots…. Pity Nina coz she can’t get a better view…

My highlight of the night is when they played my favourite song… Hidup Ini Indah…. ahhhhhh… such bliss….

In case u haven’t heard or maybe that u spend ur life somewhere without any communication from the rest of the world… LIVERPOOL FC have won the European Champions League!!!…. yup… we did it… we’re the Kings of Europe again for the fifth time… the score was 3-3 after 90 minutes and 3-2 after penalties… the final was played in istanbul, turkey… against ac milan

and what a game it was… milan took the first half by storm… i remember that i was trembling when maldini scored in the very first minute of the match…. what a sucker punch…. next it was due to kaka’s and sheva’s trickery that paved the way for crespo’s goal…. that make things worse kaka’s sublime pass again gave crespo another chance to score at the end of the half… crespo did just that… going into half-time the score was 3-0…

during the interval the tele commentators were already talking about records scores from a CL final… scorelines like madrid’s 7-3 (i can’t remember) and milan’s 4-0 shortwork of barcelona back in the 90’s were mentioned… they were forecasting a record drubbing for LFC… damn u gly guy… and damn u ross of hitz.fm….

and then the magic begins… LFC hit 3 goals past dida in a 6 minutes blitz madness… first it was King Gerrard tremendeous glancing header… next it was old timer Smicer good low shot… to cap it all off was Xabi Alonso’s penalty conversion for a foul on Gerrard by rino gatusso…. i was on bended knees in front of the tele… such magical stuff…. that’s when i told myself LFC gonna win it… by hook or by crook…. how true it was…. 

and so it goes to extra-times…. and after 30 minutes both sides are still unseperatable… next comes the penalties…. and u know how penalties are… dreadfull tension to the max….

i was so delighted when serginho and pirlo missed their kicks while Hamann and Cisse converted their’s… but then Riise missed… i was quite then… thinking what’s gonna happen next… kaka and tomasson converted… and Smicer got his 2nd goal for the night…. sheva stepped up for the next milan’s kick… tensions building… sheva placed the ball… dudek did a grobbelaar with his feets… sheva strikes…. and dudek palmed the ball…. he won it for LFC….

i was so ecstatic that i rammed the wall with my mom and wife watching in awe…. what luck??? LFC won… the phone was buzzing with many sms coming in… all in euphoric mood… it was so sweet… all these years… all the waiting…. wow!!! i can’t really describe it… it explosive…

i’ll remember this day till the day i die… this fatefull day… when the best CL final was played…

all this while i was thinking… how long would it takes me to see my beloved LFC to hold aloft the Champions trophy….   

it took me 27 years…

ayoooohhhhh… this waiting game is killing me laa…. been waiting for this game for the last 2 weeks… the hell with the EPL… the FA Cup… we got turkish delight on our way…

tomoro night onwards to istanbul via the tele… this would be my 1st time watching liverpool playing in the final of CL/European Cup live… i was way too small to know anything bout football for the first 2 finals in the 70’s ( was born a month before lfc secures their 2nd european cup )… the 2 finals in the 80’s was more or less the same… but i do remember bout the Heysel tragedy back in 85′… it was huge news back then…

i’ve been a liverpool supporter since the days of rush, barnes and aldridge… and king kenny was the manager back then… the glory days of yore… terrific… we were untouchables… and of course came the slump of the 90’s… aiyohhhhhh…. seeing man tards and my arse nal rule england was such a pain… let bygones be bygones…

now the final in 2 days time…. against ac milan (another great european team) in istanbul… maybe they’re the overwhelming favourites… but i’m just glad lfc will be there to play in the final… no one in their right minds might have predicted lfc will be at this stage of the competition at the start of the season…   

what will the result be like??? it would be great if liverpool were to win their 5th european cup… but this is football people… anything can happen…

people beware!!!! it seem’s that every tuesdays and fridays (or maybe saturdays too… dunno) there will be two towering terrors manning the BP cashiers’ counter… both are long-legged… short haired… ‘dun FUNK with my heart’ dressed… immaculate manicures… it was sure a good way to start ur day…

was there to purchase my daily dosage of ’sampoerna a hijau kecik’… since the  price of petrol increased i changed brand from dunhill to sampoerna… it seems that i can only afford the luxury of dunhills only on weekends nowadays… it’s more of a cost-cutting exercise as i used to spent bout rm200 for tols and petrol… have to save-up for the future…

back to the twin terrors… cun seh… both look good and very stylish… tight jeans… and not to mention friendly too… reminds me of bsn counters… that’s the mecca for nice middle-aged womens… i know for sure dollah (a very good friend of mine… nicknamed dolly here in friendsterland) will have the thingy if he visits bsn counters… hahaha..

now if only i can snap a photo of these twin terrors… scheming scheming

true!!!! it such a bore being in the office on saturdays… as i’m writing this down 19 known personels on my floor are not in the office… yeah… there are inter dept. takraw matches going on at the pre. 16 community hall… that’s where some of them are… i choosed to stay behind…

at this very moment ( May 14, 11.03pm) there’s only fadzil (pjc’s programming supremo) and your’s truely, me (the usual by-stander) at our designated workstations… i saw nadiah (recently married… still glowing) just now… that’s it….. only 3 of us…. the others gone.. vaporized… lesap….

yeap… that me and fadzil… skinny huh??? heheheh

i wanna share a very good song with all of u… it’s by a local artist named FERHAD ( he’s a sporean actually)… titled "Kasih Berubah"… kinda liked the story of the song as i was on the receiving end once… but it wasn’t me of came back from somewhere and startled… it was the other way around… enough of ‘kenangan lalu mengusik jiwa’  then… happily married nowadays…

let’s just that it was never meant to be…..

u’ll be very touched if u really listen to the actual song…

Just came back from friday’s prayer at Surau Precint 16 here in Putrajaya… All the normal stuff during prayers but i wanna highlight an issue here…

Why is it so hard for some people to put their damnated handphone on silent mode during their whole time at the surau…??? Was there listening to the khutbah and suddenly a ringtone came up (it was a bad ringtone anyway… can’t remember the title of the song)… i know the whole surau can hear the ringtone… that was the first one… next… a few minutes later another ringtone can be heard again…

the first one was bad enough but a second… c’mon

it’s kinda irritating u know… don’t tell me reasons like "i forgotten"… or "i don’t expect anybody to call during this time"… it’s basic enough really… u won’t want to be noisy when entering a house of god (be it mosque, tokong, kuil et cetera) would u… rite??? so why not just put the damnated phone on silent mode… please don’t disturb the tranquility in those holy places…

it’s the same during meetings… i know a guy who’s really a nuisance when it comec to this… it seems that he really enjoy making disturbance during meetings… a phonecall would come in and there goes his ringtone… not to mention a lousy ringtone it is… he will answer the call and talk loudly as if he was at a mamak stall or something…

people should be considerate… would u like it when u’r delivering ur speech and suddenly u’r being interupted… it the same with handphone… we all know it’s a nessecity nowadays… but please be courteous to others…

if u can’t give some professional courtesy… just courtesy will do…
